AIS News (Information Reliability)

Fake trick shot by roger federerThis is my newspaper front page.
View more presentations from AISNhan.

And the table below is my Information Sources Table. I used my Information Sources Table to get sources for my news article and to judge whether one of the sources below is reliable or not. I can still write my first page with an unreliable source, since this is just a ICT project of mine in my school.

Information Reliability

1. It is suppose to be cleared the fact that who wrote it because we should know why he or she wrote it.
2. Rule #2: Are the aims of the site clear? Finding the aim can help understand why the info was posted, whether to trust it.
3. A website have to achieved its aims to be reliable
4. if the website give you any information that you don't need to know, or too detail like  wikipedia skip it.
5. you can check if the info is true or not by going to another website to check
6. Always check the update for  and it depends on the type of information you're looking
7. we have to know the information bias or not and make sure we know why the author telling that information

Internet Searching

Okay, for all of you people who wants to improve on Internet Searching, here's a guide for Internet Searching.

You need to be specific and don't include common words. If you don't be specific and you searched for something you wanted on a search engine, there will be lots and lots of results that the search engine gives you, and you will have a hard time finding the web page that contains the information you want.

Include as much information as possible about what you want to search, and that will help to narrow down your results.

If you want the search engines to search for specific compound words, like "orange juice", then, like I just did, put quotation marks right outside of your compound word that you want to search, like the above.

If you want the Internet to search for webpages and websites with all of the words that you wanted, then put plus marks in front of the words you want to search for. Here's an example: cocktail+formula+gin+wine+beer. I was searching for a formula for making cocktail comprising of gin, wine, and beer. I used the plus signs to make sure that the results that the search engine gave me included the words that I wanted to search for.

Even though you used the plus sign, your results may still contain unwanted words. So you could use the - sign to exclude your unwanted words. Here's an example: cocktail+formula+gin+wine+beer-juice. I was searching for a formula for making cocktail comprising of gin, wine, and beer but no juice. If I searched like the above example, I would be able to see the formula for making the cocktail that I wanted easier.

Okay, if you want to learn how to search properly on the Internet, you could read this blog post of mine.

History of the Olympics and London's bid for hosting the 2012 Olympics

London had won the bid for hosting the 2012 Olympics. The 2012 Olympics will be hosted in Olympic Park, London, England. The Olympic Park contains the Olympic Stadium, in which the 2012 Olympics will be hosted.

At first, nine cities submitted bids to hold the 2012 Olympic Games. Then, only five cities remained: London, Madrid, Moscow, New York, and Paris. London was announced as the winner of the bid, and will hold the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Project 1 Review: Multimedia science project

My ICT teacher gave the whole ICT class their first project: make a Multimedia science project, combining the use of images, text, sounds, and a video. After each of us finished the project, he made us explained why we used those images, sound effects, fonts, font sizes, and videos.

This is the review slide about my title slide of my first project in ICT. The image in the middle is my title slide of my first project in ICT.

This is the review slide of the 4th slide of my presentation about Titanium.

The video below is the video I edited for my Multimedia science project. I cut scenes that I thought was unnecessary from the video and added the title and credits.

Well, that's the review for my multimedia science project!

Images I first edited

This is the first image that I was going to edit. I have to crop inside the box and resize the picture to 400 pixels wide.

I cropped it and resize it to 400 pixels wide. I made the image a little darker. I did all of those so I only have the image of the frogs and make them look better.

The second image that I have to crop and resize is this. The image of a bird flying over water and an instruction box. This time, I have to crop out the instruction box and resize it to, again, 400 pixels wide.

I cropped out this instruction box and resized it to 400 pixels wide. I cropped it out so I could only see it.

For my third image to crop and resize, it's a mountain lion. Again, I have to resize the contents inside the red box to 400 pixels wide.

I cropped this mountain lion out and resized it to 400 pixels. I only want to see the mountain lion.

For my fourth image, I have to crop out the frogs in the red box and again, resized my crop image to 400 pixels wide.

My end result for this image is the same as the text box said. I want only the frogs.

For my edited image for this post, I have to crop out the monkey and resize it to 400 pixels wide.

For my end result, I cropped out the monkey and resize it to 400 pixels wide. I only want the monkey, so I cropped out the monkey.

I edited my images on Paint.net. It wasn't very hard. I'm going to learn more about editing images.

A few things needed to make a powerpoint suitable for an adult audience

Ok, this is the redesigned second slide of my "AIS Afterschool clubs" presentation. It was redesigned into what I thought was suitable for an adult audience. Well, what are a few things needed to change a powerpoint so it's suitable for an adult audience? The size of the text, add pictures instead of cartoons, the background.

Making the text smaller will make your powerpoint look more professional. Adults read newspapers, and newspapers have a lot tiny words, right? Making the text smaller could allow you to add more text.

Most adults like to see pictures instead of cartoons. So add pictures will probably catch some adults' attention so they could pay attention to your presentation.

The background cannot be two colorful. It would be good if you're using white as your background for any of your powerpoints for adults. Making the background not very colorful will make your powerpoint look professional and suitable for adults.

These are just some of the few things needed to make a powerpoint suitable for an adult audience, so try to find more things that you need to change to make a powerpoint suitable for adults.

The consequences of breaking the rule "Only post info that you can prove to be true"

If you post info that you can't prove to be true, there are some serious consequences. People could read what you posted, you will get criticized, some of your friends will not want to be your friends anymore, and some people might not trust what you posted anymore. So don't post info you can't prove to be true.
